GOOD AGRICULTURAL PRACTICES

Good Agricultural Practices started to be implemented in Turkey in 2010 and have been organized taking into account the requirements of the international standard GLOBALG.A.P. Producers inspected by private control institutions authorized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry are certified that they produce reliable products. While İTU certificate can be obtained by individual producers, it can also be obtained by producer groups.

What are the Objectives of Good Agricultural Practices? 

"Performing agricultural production without harming human, animal and environmental health" takes the first place among the objectives of İTU . Providing protection in natural resources on the basis of sustainability is one of the requirements of this standard. Food safety is protected by ensuring traceability.

" Good agriculture", which is a priority for selling agricultural products in the country, has recently been of great importance in terms of product quality, safety and sustainability. 

How to Obtain İTU Certificate?

In order to obtain İTU certificate, it is necessary to take an audit by the organization authorized by the ministry. It is among the conditions that all reports on soil, seeds, pesticides, water resources and quality are kept on record. This application provides not only product but also worker safety.

Every production system created based on the principles of İTU Regulation is successfully certified. Thanks to the Good Agricultural Practices certificate, the producer gains an important place in the market and stays ahead of its competitors. At the same time, since production is carried out by protecting the environment and living things, the state provides farmers with grants, support, or low - interest loans.​
